Ferris Wheel

Due to some recent trauma I’ve escalated my desire to move down to the house. In doing so I’ve been cleaning out the few thing that I have and putting them on ebay, craigslist, or taking things to Half Price Books. Half Price doesn’t pay out like they did in the past. I’ve felt a little ripped off, but anyway. I have a 8 x 12 print of the above photo that is sitting here waiting for a new home. It’s already in an envelope, and is awaiting an address. If you would like to have this print simply respond in the comments or drop me an email with your address. The first person to request the photo will have it sent to them.

I’m sitting here.

I’m sitting here with a little time to myself. I have a side of rice and some delightfully sweet peanut sauce. I have a story rattling around in my head. I’ve typed the first sentence, but I can’t seem to get any further.

Christmas Lights

It’s been a crazy holiday season, and I’m pooped. I decided that I was going to take the weekend off and not do any work for several days. This year was definitely busier than last year, which is in many ways a good thing. However, it leaves me exhausted.

I have several posts waiting in the sidelines that I hope to get up shortly. The house is coming along. I honestly haven’t been down there since Thanksgiving weekend, but I have seen pictures. I’m supposed to go down tomorrow, and do a little bit of work and give the “okay” on somethings. The bamboo is in, and the mud room is tiled, now the kitchen and back room are getting tiled. I’m excited to see what has been done. I think we are going to try to move by the end of January, but that decision doesn’t have to be made immediately.

Anyway – have a happy holiday.

Christmas

These days Christmas doesn’t mean holiday for me. It means work, and lots of work. It’s hard, but when it’s over I’m very happy. I’m happy when everything goes well and customers get what they want. I try very hard to make sure that everyone is happy, and I try to make every item with care. Sometimes it’s very taxing, and I don’t have time for anything else. So, you probably won’t see many posts until the rush dies down a bit. Until then have a happy holiday season.

All I want for Christmas is my Canon D5, my Canon D5. I’ll buy more lenses if you buy the body of
the Canon D5.

Okay, it sounds funny if you sing it to the tune of “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.”

North Shore

There is something extremely special about the North Shore of ‘Oahu. When I’m able to make it to that area I just sit on the beach for hours watching the waves and surfers. The Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational 2006-2007 started today. I’m going to make it to the opening ceremony one of these years. I just missed the actual invitational two years ago, and last year it didn’t go. I had hoped to make it to ‘Oahu before the invitational season was up, but recent events have probably made that an improbablity. Oh well, I can watch it online if it does go.

William James
